Pelargonium graveolens "Attar of Roses"
Spicy play-doh, clay and rosewater, sandalwood, cinnamon, lavender musk rose, powdered pink lemonade. There is a wood spice like oud, but it's fogged over, dusky and muted. Gari (pickled ginger) with a dash of salt, shadowed by freshly cut red pepper membranes, flashes in and out. A roseberry scent, a huckleberry scent, a pieberry scent, like the fragrant hat on the Purple Pieman of Porcupine Peak polyvinyl chloride figurine released in 1981.
Photo: my handmade absolute of Pelargonium graveolens "Attar of Roses." From my scented geranium garden in 2019, 30x tinctured leaves and flowers, aged 19 months, and then reduced with 95% of the ethanol reclaimed for reuse.
