Lilac enfleurage technique (part 3)

To improve the quality of the end product, I filter the florets as I remove them from their green parts. Any wilted or softening ones do not go onto the pommade. Additionally, the throats of the florets more often than not contain a nectar. Removing their calyxes permits this water to drain and evaporate. Keeping the flowers attached to stems, calyxes, and panicles traps the water and accelerates decomposition along with its unpleasant aromas.
