Sweet-sharp, balsamic, soulful and undeniably jammy. When the winter plant world appears dead, this is a reminder that many green things are very much alive. Winter fruit, thick green needle-fir, and winter-green's cool-warm paradox are some of the olfactory phantoms lodged in this deep, aged extract of Picea glauca boughs and needles. I collected the branches from my old growth Vermont forest. I left the boughs in tincture for a year to develop a dense aroma. Like my other handmade conifer resinoids and absolutes, its profile is rich, fresh, vibrant, and long lasting. Organic.
The Wild Vermont White Spruce Absolute is a Wild Veil natural perfume ingredient made using the old methods of long term tincturing in plantbased, high proof alcohol (food grade ethanol), followed by gentle evaporation to preserve the top notes.
Available in 1ml, 2ml, and 5ml sizes. Absolute is dark green, almost black in color, with light green highlights. It is syrupy at room temperature. Refrigerate to preserve freshness. Gently warm to improve mobility.
Note: tenacious middle to base note with wonderful fixative properties.
