RED RASPBERRY ABSOLUTE
Cured Organic Red Raspberry · Eight-Year Extraction · F/W 2026
The red fruit after its brightness has begun to darken.
Raspberry is not a single sweetness.
Its fresh aromatic character is a finely divided arrangement of delicate floral sweetness, green fruit tissue, bright acidity, soft pulp, seed and the unmistakable impression of red berry.
At its most vivid, raspberry can seem almost weightless: a transparent red sweetness that vanishes almost as soon as it appears.
Yet beneath that fleeting brightness is a more complicated botanical structure.
The soft, easily ruptured drupelets contain juice and aromatic compounds, while the seeds and surrounding tissue introduce a contrasting, less confectionary dimension.
For Red Raspberry Absolute, I began with organic fruit that had been cured before extraction.
The cured raspberries then remained in tincture for eight years before I evaporated the solvent to obtain the concentrated absolute.
This preparation investigates raspberry beyond the fresh-fruit moment.
Rather than attempting to reproduce a bright raspberry accord, the material begins with actual cured berries, whose skin, pulp and seed-associated constituents have been subjected to prolonged solvent extraction.
The aromatic territory is one of contrasts: translucent red fruit against the deeper, denser associations of cured berry flesh; sweetness against tartness; delicate floral fruitiness against the more tactile impression of seed and dried botanical matter.
I am especially interested in this absolute beside Red Banana.
The banana extraction has an unexpected raspberry and red-fruit character, mingled with rum, tropical flesh and leather. Red Raspberry offers the fruit itself as a point of comparison.
The relationship between the two is not an identity.
It is an aromatic echo.
Aromatic territory: Red raspberry · delicate floral berry character · bright fruit acidity · soft drupelet flesh · cured berry · seed-associated botanical depth.
Extraction: Cured organic Red Raspberry → eight years of tincture maceration → solvent evaporation → concentrated absolute.
Collection: CURED FRUIT · THE EIGHT-YEAR ABSOLUTES · F/W 2026.
